Privacy Policy

Last updated: 26 August 2026

Clipper ("the Service") is a personal, first-party software tool. It is operated by its owner, for their own social media accounts, and runs on the operator's own computer. It is not a public multi-tenant product and it does not collect data from members of the public. This policy explains what data the Service accesses, how it is stored, and how you can remove it.

1. What data is accessed

The Service only accesses accounts that the operator personally connects through each platform's official OAuth flow. For those connected accounts it accesses:

The Service does not request or access data belonging to any third party, does not read private messages, and does not collect analytics about other people.

2. How data is stored

OAuth tokens and basic account information are stored locally on the operator's own machine. They are never uploaded to, or held on, any Clipper server — there is no Clipper server. There is no central database, and no account data leaves the operator's computer except in the calls the Service makes directly to the official platform APIs in order to publish an approved clip.

3. How data is used

The tokens are used for one purpose only: to publish the short clips the operator has reviewed and approved to the operator's own accounts, through the platforms' official APIs. The Service does not use them for any other purpose.

4. Sharing and selling

The Service does not sell, rent, trade, or share any data with third parties. No data is shared with advertisers or data brokers. The only external services contacted are the official APIs of the platforms the operator has connected, and only to carry out the operator's own publishing actions.

5. Platform APIs used

Clipper publishes exclusively through the official APIs of TikTok, YouTube and Instagram. Your use of those connected accounts is also subject to each platform's own privacy policy and terms.

6. Data retention and deletion

You are in control of your data at all times:

See the data deletion page for step-by-step instructions.

7. Children

The Service is a private tool for its operator and is not directed at children.
